My first g=hat/knitting in the round project

I got circler kniitng neadles that are 24 in. the pattern im working on says to use 16 in. can I still make it without buying new neadles?

You won’t be able to knit in the round w/o using a different technique. It’s not quite long enough for regular magic loop, but you can use a modified magic loop method to knit with that length cable.
