Its just a simple dishcloth, but it’s done, and I even figured out the casting off!! Working on the matching coaster now… its a gift for my best friend
Congratulations on your first FO! :yay: It looks wonderful, and I’m sure your friend will love it!
Thank you! Taking it to her later on
Congratulations on an excellent piece of knitting!
:cheering: This is a great FFO (first finished object)! Lovely stitches and beautiful colors. A great gift for your BF. She probably won’t want to use it as a dishcloth. Nicely done.
A coaster will be a perfect companion.
Simple dishcloth is misleading. Look at what you’ve accomplished: casting on, mastering tension and holding your working yarn, binding off, and weaving in loose ends. You’re off to a great start.
Looks great! Love the colors!
Good job! Such lovely colors, too!
Lovely soft colors and beautiful work. Congrats on a first finished project and may there be many more!
Thank you everyone. I’ve been looking for someone to teach me for years, finally gave up and taught myself. I’m very excited, and Skye loved it!
Hoozahhh! :woot: Good job on your first one!
One down and many many more to go!
We all start somewhere and you did a great job and picked wonderful color for it too!. I have yet to make dishcloths and I really should get yarn and make a few.
Thanks, I’m working on another now. I’m a perfectionist, and washclothes seemed the perfect way to practice stitches!
I agree with GrumpyGramma. You really did accomplish a lot with this first pattern!
I taught myself to knit as well. I used a book and the videos here and have never looked back.
Come here and ask lots of questions. These are the kindest people you will ever meet.
Congratulations!
Thank you! Auburn, as in Alabama?
Yes ma’am! Grew up in Alabama as an Auburn fan. Have lived in Florida for over twenty years now.
Tried FL, hated it. I was born in Bama, I lived there in the late 90’s also. I’m a Tide fan, though. Lol
It’s lovely work! Great stitches, great color!
