[size=6]Well, here is my first knitted finished object. I have been knitting for 3 weeks. I love it and have already started on another bag for my sister for Christmas. I am going to use this bag for a project bag…I love it…hope you do too! I had my son resize the pictures, so here goes!
I used the Booga Bag Pattern from Black Sheep Bags and I used Cascade (Pastaza) yarn from my LYS!
Handle Before Felting
Bag Before Felting…Pattern called for Cast On of 34 stitches, but I cast on 46 to make it like Donna (my knitting angel’s) Project Bag!

What did I learn from “Felting”? That I need to turn my hot water heater up a little bit (which my DH already did!). You can see some stitches in my handle. But my friend that has taught me everything thus far thought I did a great job. I can’t believe I made this…it was so fun…I love learning new things. I also learned how to do a Twisted Knit Stitch when I picked up the stitches…that was so neat. And a Cable Cast on for the top of the bag…I loved doing that! And I love making the I-Chord!
I decided to make a Booga Bag for my sister for Christmas, which is just like the one I made only smaller. I wanted to practice on another bag to make sure I remembered how to do everything.
There are so many things to learn and my friend and I are having a blast. I’m going to make my Grand Daughter Kira, a poncho for Christmas. The Owner of my LYS is helping me. I can’t believe how nice everyone has been that has helped me…just like you all here!
[size=6]Thanks so much for your kind words. I am absolutely amazed at all there is to knitting…it is such an art. I can’t believe how much there is to learn. After I get my sister’s Booga Bag done, I’m going to start on the Poncho!
Have a great day!

That is seriously cool! You did a wonderful job on it! I am a handbag nut and if I ever get done with everyone elses Christmas and baby stuff I am going to have to check out doing felted bags!
I love the color combination…I’m planning on making a felted bag that is bigger than the Booga. So you cast on 46…how many rows did you do for the bottom? What were the appx. finished dimensions of the bag? Beautiful job
