My first FO for 2006, scarf from stash yarn

This is my first FO using continental knitting, learned on this great site only two weeks ago! so i’m pretty happy with myself (and using up some old ill considered on-sale impulse buy stash yarn… bonus!)
I didn’t use a pattern, just made it up as i went along. The white fluffy bit is 2 balls of a nylon feathery yarn called paris (it’s absolutely horrible to knit and sheds EVERYWHERE but feels soooo soft and slippery…i wouldn’t buy it again and i still have 3 balls more in a army green colour!!! i have no idea what i’ll do with that) The blue is a fabulous unplied (don’t know the technical term?, single ply?) 100% wool yarn called Polar from Lang. There was only 1 ball left at the shop on sale, which is why i bought the white to make up, looks lovely together IMHO but, like i said before, the white just SHEDS! oh well, hope it gets some wear this winter - it was over 40 degrees centigrade yesterday here in melbourne, so not scarf weather at the mo! lol

Looks fabulous! Cool colors for a warm scarf!

Based on the looks of the yarn, I can see what led to your impulse purchase. It’s beautiful, and the scarf is gorgeous!

OOOH if that isnt a roller-disco scarf, I dont know what is!!! GROOOVY!!!

Oh, I wouldn’t have left that white on a store shelf either. It reminds me of polar bears.
(I have a lot of questionable yarns in my stash because of sales. :roflhard: )

Oh, that is a truly funky and cool scarf! Nice!!

ooooooo, pretty!!

hehe me too. Fabulous scarf!!!

Very funky & cool!

Very nice!

:cheering: Great job!!! I know what you mean its been to warm here to enjoy the scarves and mittens I made… now if I hadn’t learned to knit this summer we would be up to our eye balls in snow :rofling:

Pretty! It looks soft and warm!

Now that’s a DIVA scarf if I ever saw one :notworthy: . Great job :cheering:
