Hi! I have always wanted to learn to knit, and this past weekend I decided to go for it! The videos on here were SO helpful! I decided to make my son a very basic scarf. Eventually I hope to try my hand at some more interesting patterns

Oh, very nicely done. I don’t think that garter stitch is so easy to do well. Yours looks lovely on the first try. Good for you for learning to knit and making such a wonderful first project.

Very nice, I definitely like the colors. With just about anything, knitting takes a bit of practice. And regardless of how technical something looks, if you follow stitch by stitch, it really is easy.

How beautiful. I am a new knitter too…about a month. I started with a sampler scarf and have done several scarves with just the knit stitch. I want to learn to do yarn over soon and try something else.
