ipod for scale

and a bonus cutie dd pic!
dirt anyone?:teehee:

Looks great Jeanie!

That seems odd that it did not shrink when felted - it may not be truely felted yet. How long did you felt it for? Can you still see individual stitches? If you are happy with how it turned out you can just leave it, but if not you can try felting it some more. Looking forward to finished pictures.

That is such a cute picture of your dd. Good luck getting those clothes clean!

:doh:lately all her clothes are getting that dirty:ick:

i am ok with the finished piece. if i felt it more it would shirnk too much, so next one i am going to make it bigger then felt the crap out of it  this first one will just be a softer bag

I love the colors that you made your booga bag. I agree with the previous poster - you may want to try to run it through the wash again if you want it to be more like “felt”. I had to wash one of mine 3 times before it came out the way I wanted it. If you do try again make sure that your water is really hot and put your water level on small load. Throw a pair or 2 of jeans in and it should come out more felted. If you love it that way that is great too!

Sorry - I was typing and did not see your post till I entered…

I hope you don’t mind my comments - it really looks great as it is too!

Lucky you.

Having seen the bag in progress, I can easily see why you don’t want it to shrink anymore. When you go to do another one, might I suggest trying a different yarn? I have done two with Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky that turned out nice and thick and sturdy post-felting. I can’t remember off the top of my head how (or if) I modified the pattern for these, but I can check my notes if you want to know.

I love the color! My dad lives in Japan and can get Noro yarn for about half the price you can buy it here. He’s sending me some!! Must of the colors of the Noro they have on the site he buys it from are colors they don’t sell in the states.

Can’t wait to see the finished project!!!

thanks for all the comments!!:muah:

:teehee:i will take a pic of it all assembled tonight. i still have to make the button. right now it is hanging from a shelf with one of those old tupperware cereal containers inside it for shaping:biting: i do love the colors!
