My first beanie! Help!

Okay so some of this patterns says:

Row 1: (RS) p1, k6, p1 Repeat to end of row.
Row 2: k1, p6, k1 Repeat to end of row.
Repeat rows 1 and 2 one time.
Row 5: (RS) p1, slip 3 sts to cable needle and hold in front, k3, knit 3 sts from cable needle, p1 repeat to end.
Row 6: k1, p6, k1 Repeat to end of row.

Can someone PLEASE explain to me what RS is? I’ve already knitted the first row using just p1 k6 p1. And that was after I made the brim so I am really hoping I didn’t mess it up. Quick reply please?

RS means Right Side. WS would mean Wrong Side. You can place a removable marker or safety pin right on the fabric on the RS so it’ll be easy to remember.

Oh okay thank you, Jan! This was my first thread, so I’m still not sure what I’m doing! Haha
