My first adult sized cardigan

This is the Vanilla Spice Cardigan from Knitty.
Mine, obviously, is not Vanilla. It is Crocus and knit in Knit Picks Shine. I think for large project Shine hangs rather heavily. On my compter the color looks more true purple, in real life it is a fucia/purple color. This took me about 2 months to make-and I had plenty of interuptions in those two months, so it wasn’t continuous knitting. I did not find the pattern that difficult. I did make the body longer than called for and to me the best part is I made the sleeves a tad too long! I have long arms and sleeves are always too short for me. I finally put the buttons on today. My 7 y/o DD took the picture for me.

Thanks for looking.

NewAmy, that is lovely! The colour is gorgeous and it looks great on you.

Wow - you really did a wonderful job. Looks like it fits you perfectly.

Yeah! What a nice sweater! I think the wonderful thing about knitting things like that for ourselves is that we can customize the size!

You did a great job!

Terrific looking and great color too!

Your sweater looks lovely. I have this one on my to knit list.

Great job!!

That looks wonderful!

hi beautiful
really nice and it fits very well
love the color

It’s very pretty! I  it!!

Great job! I used that pattern to use up some leftover yarn from another project but didn’t have enough for sleeves so did a vest version. I also switched out the stitch pattern for twisted stockinette. The basic pattern for VS is quite versatile and adaptable to variations. I can definitely see using it again.

I love the color and the fit looks excellent!!!
