My finished sweater is too long

OK. So. I made my cat a sweater. She gets cold. After having to back up and make the arm holes bigger with a better shape for her, I got it on her. Got her to move around. And after seeing her move, I’ve noticed that it’s too long. I need to make it about an inch shorter.

Is there a way I can undo stitches from the cast on edge? I used a Knit Cast on (The first one Here.)

You can take out the stitches, but it’s not as simple as ripping back the bind off edge. Each stitch will have to be picked out separately.

You can cut it with a scissors then put the resulting stitches on the needles, too. That’s a bit scary, but faster.
