Seeing the knitted Easter cuties reminded me of the ones that I knitted last year. *I didn’t have a pattern for my little chicks… I just used a plastic egg for measuring and then ‘drew around’ the flat shape when I got one the right size and used that as my ‘pattern’ for the rest of them that I knitted.
And, look at it this way… finally a good use for fun fur!
These are the first ones that I made… I just sewed the beaks on with yarn.
I made some for friends and then got the bright (not so bright as more time went by) to knit one for each of my 3rd grade students that I was teaching last year. Needless to say, I will not be making anymore knitted chicks this year! I made enough last year for two years. :roflhard:
I found the pattern for the little white duck ‘somewhere’ on the Internet last year… sorry to say that I don’t remember where it was. The pattern had no photo with it though… and that was ‘fun’ trying to figure out how it was going to work. :teehee:
But, it did work out and I think it - turned out cute… and now, I need to find the little duck and set it out for my Easter decoration again.
