I am going to see the Yarn Harlot on my birthday next month in Portland (OR). It’s my first book signing and first “official” trip to Portland (I have only been the airport). I just got an e-mail from my friend that our room is booked at some swanky hotel downtown! :happydance: I am sooooooo excited!! Now I am off to map quest some LYS’s. :cheering:

I love Powell’s. Be sure to bring extra room/suitcase to bring some cheap books back from there, you can spend three hours there. Bring an umbrella too, the rain stories are true.
You’re so lucky to be meeting her! I reguarly read her blog and since I have started I have wanted to meet her more and more. I’ve never been to Portland, but I hope it goes well! :happydance:
I actually live in Oreogn, on the coast, so I know about the rain. I am going to write down all that you mentioned. We are only going to be there Friday and drive home Saturday. There are 3 of us going. I can’t wait! Ever since I moved here I always wanted to go to Powells. I love books (even though I haven’t read any in a while). It’s going to be fun!!!
