I went ot the LYS today and spent too much money…here’s what I got:
2 skeins of something SUPER yummy for my yarn exchange pal…
3 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Organic Cotton
3 skeins of Dark Horse Yarn’s Fantasy (THE SOFTEST acrylic I"ve ever found–50/50 Nylon and Acrylic)
3 skeins of Filatura Di Crosa Baby Zarella in a yellow/green/blue varigated
1 skein of Filatura Di Crosa Baby Zarella in yellow
3 sets of Addi Turbos-7,8,9 in 24’
a needle guage checker so I can label all of my needles!!!
see the problem is, I can’t pull it all out to take a pic b/c dh doesn’t exactly know that I bought that much…(I keep it in the trunk and bring it in a skein or two at a time when I can sneak it to the stash! TO him, the stash runneth over and he doesn’t notice an extra skein or two there…but boy does he recognize the bag from the LYS)…
I paid tooooooo much…I also bought a needle size/gauge indicator thingy too and after all of that, I spent about $150.00 in the end…The addi’s really run the tab up though!

lmao when I was engaged several years ago, and living with my fiance I used to do this with shoes. I’d keep new ones at work and wear them in around the office. Then I’d wear them home when I thought they looked used enough to not look brand new. When he’d ask it would be “nah I’ve had these a while I just rarely wear them, and thought it was time I did.”
He was very much a 3 suits, 5 shirts, 1 pair of jeans, 2 t-shirts, work shoes and trainers kind of guy. Everything else to him was excessive lol
Alas we really were not a match made in heaven since I’m like Imelda Marcos’ twin sister =P My mother calls me a cross between Imelda Marcos and a bag lady because I adore bags so much

LOL… you guys crack me up. I knew I was purchasing a size other than what I wanted but I thought the shorter size would work…it won’t. It’s actually a bummer b/c I have to go to TWO LYSs b/c the first one doesn’t have the length I need. I need to return the ones I bought and purchase them at a different store.
actually I may go to three or just try a new one…I just noticed online that a shop I’ve been wanting to visit has moved to the same area as the one I have to return the needles at…
