***Multi-Color Tails?***

Hi All :lol:

 I made my son a hat yesterday and decided to try my hand at making him a multi-colored scarf to go with it.  I'm only using three colors but when I start another color, I end up having long tails on the side.  Is there a more secure way, instead of just weaving in the ends, to fix these into the pattern?:??  I'm still new at this and I don't think I can bind them off since I'm adding a new color every eigth row and need the loops open, right?:help:  Can anyone help? :pray:

Was I even [I]supposed[/I] to cut the yarn when starting a new one or keep it attached?? LOL

You could keep the yarn attached and make sure that you bring the color in use up from under the hanging color to kind of hold it to the side. The two edges look different, though.

Weaving them in does hold. It IS a pain, though.
