what is meant by pick up mulitple of 8 stitches & 2 stitches? I’m knitting the buttob hole band… does it mean knit 16 & add 2?
Yes, that’s correct. In a pattern that has 12 + 2 it would mean multiples of 12 (12,24,36… + 2= 14,26,38…) Hope this helps! Mary

From the info you’ve given, it would mean to pick up: 18(8+8+2) or 26 (8+8+8+2) and so on… To pick up, I use one needle, poke into stitch, wrap as if to knit, pull through, then on to next st. After you pick up, sts will be on your right needle (left if you’re a southpaw).
