Moving stitches

I’m new to the knitting world and a bit confused with my first non-scarf-attempt pattern. If anyone could help me decipher this I would greatly appreciate it.

The pattern is for fingerless gloves and once you increase to have 10 thumb stitches it reads:

Move 10 thumb stitches to waste yarn.
next 7 rows: knit

My question is: do I knit the stitch in front of the first thumb stitch, move the thumb stitches, then continue knitting the stitch behind the thumb stitches?

It doesn’t read anything about joining with yarn and so far these gloves look great so I don’t want to mess 'em up anymore than a newbie should

Thanks for any input!

I believe that after you have the thumb stitches on the waste yarn, they’re out of the way and on hold for later. You knit around, bringing the stitches that are on the two sides of the thumb close together and knitting around.

Thanks! I’ll give it a go.
