Hi - I had originally posted this in the patterns section of the forum but now I’m wondering if this might be the section! Oops! Anyway, I am making my first jumper and have just started work on the sleeves. The pattern is formed by 10 rows of 39 stitches which are ribbed (K1 P2) with a cable panel in the middle. This is what the pattern says:
“Cont in patt, shaping sides by inc 1 st at each end of next and every foll 10th row to 49 sts, then on every foll 12th row until there are 51 sts, taking inc sts into patt.”
So I have done the first 10 rows. Do I continue in the pattern and on the 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th and 60th rows increase one stitch at each end? This would get me to 49 stitches. Then on the 72nd row increase one at each end so I have 51?
Also, would the best method of increase be ‘make one front’ and ‘make one back’?
Sorry for so many questions! Just want to be sure to do it right!! Thank you in advance.
