More handspun

here is my second yarn. superwash wool, it’s tan with a greenish tone, and random bits of black. i am predrafting, even though its already basicly pencil roving

that’s looking really nice! i just love the smoothness of handspun. i have never seen any mass produced yarn (and i’ve seen a-plenty) that is that pleasing to the senses. i think i’m going to have to stop looking at these threads cold turkey until i can actually try it myself! :pout:

oh pretty  I think predrafting is really important to make sure you get all the little snurggles out of the roving and to get it to the thickness you prefer to work with; even if it is pencil roving.

snurggles. :teehee: that’s my new favorite word.

see, i just couldn’t stay away! i have NO willpower.
well, when it comes to all things knitting, anyway! :chair:

lady violet, i will be sure to show off any handspun i make here so you can come and look and spin vicariously untill you just do it yourself:teehee:

look here! lots of handspun ‘firsts’. mine is there too, near the bottom
