Modified Booga Bag

This is my first booga bag. It’s for a friend, who asked me to make it a little wider and not so deep. The yarn is Needful Yarns Joy. I left the i-cord a little long so that she can adjust the length if necessary.

very pretty. Love the color. Good job:thumbsup:

That’s a great bag! Love the colors. Your friend is very lucky!

I did a swatch for this and felted it, because it wasn’t the yarn called for in the pattern and I was uncertain how much it would shrink in felting. After all the calculations I ended up casting on 52 stitches on size 10.5 24" circs. I used 5 skeins of yarn at 85 yards per skein.

That is sooo nice, Slim! :cheering: I really like the dimensions, too! Great idea to make it wider than taller. And, to make the I-cord a little long for greater adaptability!

great job! My first bag was a booga and I have made several variations of it…even a huge knitting bag!

As soon as I finish the last three inches on this sock, that has taken half a lifetime to knit, I want to start a Booga bag. I was looking around for a different shape, though, and I think yours is the best I’ve seen.

I’m going to make it out of a Berroco Medley yarn that is no longer available. Don’t have enough for a sweater, but a bag and a sweater for my DGD will probably use up most of it.

Thank you!

Lovely colors! The bag looks great.
