Mittens 2 on 2?

I have made one pair of convertible mittens using a KnitPicks pattern. I used dpns for the first pair. There are no fingers. Is there any reason that I couldn’t knit these on 2 circs? I would think that it would work, but I am having trouble visualizing how the thumb would work. Has anyone tried this? Here is the link to a picture of the mittens, if that would help!

Yes you could. The only issue I think you might run into is that the gauge might be slightly different because you’d be using different needles and a different technique. But it probably wouldn’t be that big of a deal.
