the pattern I am working from uses mitered decreases to delineate the left front and right front from the back of a cardigan that is knitted all in one piece on a circular needle.
the m-decrease is described as follows: Work to 2 sts before marker; insert needle into these 2 sts as if to K2tog, and slip to right needle without working them; remove marker, knit next st; pass 2 slipped sts over st just worked. 2 sts decreased. Replace Marker.
My problem is that the mitered decrease is supposed to run in a straight line up the knitting but mine doesn’t it is slanting to the right. What am I doing wrong? Does it have to do with the placement of the marker?
