Misti Alpaca Sport

I have recently acquired 2 skeins of Misti Alpaca Sport yarn. I was originally thinking of making socks with it, but it’s so soft and buttery, I’m afraid they wouldn’t hold up. Has anyone made socks with this?

Does anyone have any better ideas for what to make with the 2 skeins?

Wrist warmers??

I dont know if I would walk on Alpaca… it does seem kind of “delicate”, doestn it? :shrug:

Alpaca doesn’t hold its shape like wool either so I would consider using them for something else.

I have to disagree. I felt that way at first too but my LYS owner encouraged me and said she had made a few pairs so I went ahead and made a pair with Misti Alpaca and they are now my absolute favorites. I wear them every chance I get! I LOVE how they feel and I loved knitting them. I have a couple other skeins of fingering/sport weight alpaca and I plan on making another pair of socks with them. They are WONDERFUL!!!

How about a neck warmer to wear with your coat.

I have made several pairs of Alpaca socks and I love them. They do grow a little but you don’t notice that when you wear your shoes or slippers.
