Ok, so I think I have found a new hobby! I decided to knit
a mini sock to make a keychain last night because I just
didn’t feel like jumping on to the next pair of Christmas socks.
Hey, I was still knitting a sock so technically wasn’t shirking
my responsibilities
It was so much fun and finished so
quick and I have already had comments on my cute little
keychain. I wonder if everyone would rather have a keychain
than a pair of socks for Christmas and then I’d have time for
all those patterns waiting for myself! :figureditout:
Hehe…

Libbie, I love those little sock… What I did is put catnip in them and gave them to my cat and my mom’s cat. They love them.
Is there a pattern for mini socks or do you just make small versions of your favorite socks?
Here is the pattern that I used.
and here is another one.
They are so fun to make… And don’t feel bad if it takes you more then one day to make one. The first 2 I made. It took me a week to make one:frog:.
:yay:But I learned so much about sock making.
Stuffing them to make cat toys…what a great idea! I’ll
have to try that since I am enjoy this new little project haha…
Oh and I just made a generic toe up short row toe and heel
sock for mine. Used really fine yarn and 2.5mm needles and
just sort winged it to see what would happen!
It took
me about 2 hours total to get it done but I have been making
alot of socks lately so I was in my “sock groove”! hehe…
Libbie
I tried making my key chain sock on 2 circs, and got all confused w/ the pattern (that wasn’t written for 2 circs) I think I’ll try again w/ magic loop – I now have a form (from a LYS) where you plug in the DPN pattern to convert to magic loop.
those are so much fun, not to steal your thunder, but I just found this mini mittenpattern I thought would be really cute for onraments. I think I’ll make some of these.
Thanks for the link to the mini mittens! I hadn’t even thought
of trying that. What a perfect idea for christmas
decorations or even for the gift tag!
