Mini sock heel turn confusion

Hi,
I haven’t had much experience with socks and can’t figure out how this works. When I do it as described, my working yarn ends up in the middle of the row or if I slip the last 11 stitches onto the other end, the round gets all wonky. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.
Set up for Heel
Slip 11 sts onto one dpn or circ for Heel. Slip foll 22 sts onto a stitch holder and set aside for
Foot Top. Slip last 11 sts onto the other end of the first dpn or circ for Heel.
Note: It is important to start the Heel in the mid rnd of the Leg as that will help hide any
color jog and enable the stocking to be flat without interrupting the color pattern.

Welcome to the forum!
What is the name of your pattern and designer?
Your working yarn is in the middle of what will be the heel. Slip the next 11sts onto the right needle then slip the next 22sts for the top of the foot onto a holder or another needle. The last 11sts are slipped starting from those nearest the working yarn and ending with the sts near the foot top.
Don’t start this slip of 11sts with the stitch immediately after the 22sts of the foot top.
What are the directions for the next row? Don’t give us a large portion of the pattern due to designer copyright. Just the next row should be enough.
Maybe a photo would help us with the wonky?

Thank you for your quick reply. The pattern is https://ravel.me/yule-mini-stockings-advent-calendar

I’m still confused and I am sure it is just me because it can’t be that hard.
I put 11 stitches on the left needle. Then I put 22 stitches on the stitch holder. My question is where do I put the final 11 stitches on the right needle? If I put them on the left needle, my working yarn is in the middle. Do I shift all the stitches until the working yarn is at the end?? I appreciate any help on this. Thank you again.

Depending on the next row, that looks correct. You’ll be knitting across half the heel then turning to the WS and purling across all the 22 heel sts. The start mid-row will be part of the fold when the stocking is flattened.

Adorable set of socks. Good planning to knit them now!

Thank you so much for taking time to help and reassure me. You are the best!!
