Men's scarf

I would like to make a scarf for my dad for Christmas, but I’m having trouble finding a pattern…there are so many pretty patterns out there, but I haven’t seen much for men. I’d like something that he could wear when he dresses for work but can also be worn casual as well. If anyone has any ideas, I’d love to hear your input. Thanks all!!

Here are some ideas that would work

Great pattern ideas! I didn’t ask but I surely printed a few for my collection!!! Thanks! :cheering:

I love the Irish hiking scarf!! I just have to be brave enough to try cables now.:pout:

an awesome unisex scarf.Could dress it up or down it is one of my favs and oh so soft. No wrong side and edges don’t roll.

Perfect with a suit or jeans. It was being considered for DH’s scarf.

Grumperina just posted a pattern for a scarf she knit for her dad: http://grumperina.com/knitblog/shiftingsands.htm

I think it could dress up or down really easily!

I just recently made a scarf from the pattern Moon recommended:

Wow…that Grumperina scarf is gorgeous…that’s an awful lot of cableing, though.

Kaydee…cableing isn’t hard…I just learned how to do it recently and it’s much easier than it looks. Give it a try! The Irish Hiking Scarf would be a good one to start with…easy pattern. Try a swatch first and you will be amazed at how easy it is.
