HELP!! my name is nancy and I’am making a sweater for my husband for christmas and have never done the stitch p1, k1,(p 3 tog; k,p, knit all in next stitch could anyone explain this to me desperate for help thank you
What you’re doing for that section is increasing in one stitch, and then purling the next 3 together. A couple of rows later, you purl the increased stitches together and increase in the stitch left from the p3tog.
So, after you do your first 2 stitches (p1, k1) you’ll start the pattern.
Purl the next 3 stitches together, then in the next stitch–knit but don’t slide it off, bring the yarn forward between the needles and purl into the same stitch, but again don’t slide it off. Bring the yarn to the back and knit into it again and then slide it off. You’ll have 3 where you had one. Do these two steps (p3tog, kpk in one) across the row.
