Mattress or Back-Stitch?

Hi All,

I am finishing up a top and the pattern calls for me to join the side seams with a back stitch. I could do this, but it seems like it would be better to use a mattress stitch because this would be seamless. What do you guys think? Any advice would be useful. Thanks for your help!

I agree. I’d be doing Mattress Stitch as well. Gives a much neater finish.

I would use mattress. It’s so much more finished looking IMO.
