I always thought they were odd looking and for people who couldn’t quite decided if they wanted a car or a truck. One of my uncles used to own one and the whole family gave him so much ribbing about it he finally traded it in for a proper truck. :rofl:

I had one of those irony-affectations in high school. You know, by purposefully wearing/liking uncool ugly things I felt cool…thank god I grew out of that phase! :oops:

I’m rather fond of the men’s clothing of 1940s era and have a number of vintage suits and hats. I do love wearing my fedora even though they’ve been out of fashion and uncool for at least 40 years.

But clothes and such for the 40s are so cool! Maybe you just picked a better decade to embrace. Cuz baby choosing the late 70s/early 80s was UGLY! :roflhard:

In the local suburban sea of pickup trucks and SUVs, my '72 El Camino draws either blank stares or smiles of recognition/envy.

I love driving a vehicle that’s different and yet practical – no problem throwing a 40-pound bag of dog food in the back, yet it corners like a jewel and gets pretty darn good gas mileage.

Maybe I’m a throwback to the 70s :thinking: , but I’d rather not run with the crowd. I LOVE wool, but I don’t want to be a sheep. :teehee:

ETA – Just to add that my EC is incredibly reliable, and if anything does go wrong my DH can fix it easily and cheaply. AND it’s paid for (so don’t laugh!)

Thanks for asking.

My back is improving. I just returned to the hotel from my appointment with the witch doctor, errrr I mean chiropractor, and he says I’m making very good progress and in his opinion should be able to return to work in a week. That’s good news even if it is longer than I would like.

I see the regular doctor tomorrow so I’ll have to see if he agrees.

My back actually felt pretty decent when I got up this morning but after the witch doctor finished torturing me I’m a bit stiff a sore again. :pout:

He has me wearing a back support compression belt which does seem to help. I can almost walk upright again.

Get a massage either before or after a chiro appointment. Muscles hold the bones in place and if they’re tight, they may hold them out of their proper place. Once they’re relaxed, that allows the bones to move where they should.
