I decided to make another Mara. I’m making this one in Cascade 220 with a size 9 needle. This time, I started another, more interesting project, along with the Mara. That way, when I can’t take any more garter stitch, I can switch over the the Meida socks! I’m making the Meida socks in black Elann Esprit, 2-on-1 circular needle. I’m using a toothpick as the cable needle. I know very dark colors are not a very suitable for the Meida pattern, but I wanted a pair of lace socks in black. I think parts of the pattern will show up when it’s stretched over my foot, but the cables really won’t show well.
2 gr8 go 2gether projects. Good thinking to start something more interesting at the same time. Love the color of Mara. What’s the color called?
Both of those projects are going to be lovely. It certainly does help to break up a garter stitch project with something intricate and patterned, and vice versa.

As you know, my first Mara was cream. My second Mara (WIP) is black…not very festive!
