Malabrigo scarf suggestion please

I did it, yesterday after knitting group, I went to a no so local yarn store and bought myself some MMMMMMalabrigo! It is so beautiful, burgundy colors that varies from a light type of red to deep purples. I will post pictures tomorrow, too late for a good pic right now.

I am at KPC right now looking for a scarf for me that would show off the colors somewhat. But you all know how many scarf patterns there are there, I just don’t think I want to look at every single pattern. So I am asking you all, what scarf pattern would be good for Malabrigo?

And I almost bought some Manos, who knows I have to go back there and may come back with that too!! (yep, it is nice to have something other than craft store yarns-not that there is anything wrong with it!)

I think variegated tones look nice in the So Called Scarf. I’d avoid anything too decorative like cables.

I love the softness of Malabrigo, however am not a big fan of scarves. Last year I made my self a neck gaitor. I love it and wear it everyday in the winter! I have made several this year from the Luxe Neck Warmer pattern in Greetings from Knit Cafe. It would be so nice in Malabrigo!

Enjoy your purchase!

I second the vote for the “My So-Called Scarf”, it really shows off the variegated colours well as it’s simple enough but still interesting.

Those colors sound beautiful! How many skeins do you have?
I made a nice scarf using a single skein of Malabrigo in the Rainy Day Scarf Pattern. It’s free. You can pull it up on ravelry.

Here is the Rainy Day Scarf pattern. I made it with Malabrigo and it turned out well Easy pattern too.

The good old Scrunchable scarf works out beautifully with Mmmm, too. So soft and cushy!

I’ll second the Scrunchable Scarf. I made one with a couple of skeins of Mmmmalabrigo and it turned out lovely!

I have made several scarves with Malabrigo, and I agree with Ingrid about the scrunchable scarf, but last week I made the “one row handspun” scarf (google it) which is lovely too.

I did the Rainy Day Scarf also with one skein of Mmmmm and it turned out so pretty! My MIL loved it (it was her Christmas gift).

I made 4 Malibrigo scarves as Christmas presents. I used this pattern:

I love the way this scarf turns out. It is a great pattern, fun to knit and it comes out really pretty. The only change to the pattern that I made was that I did it on size 8 needles.

Thank you all for the replies! I decided on the scrunchable scarf and have started it. I have a pic here of it and of course the coloring here is not as strong as it is here with me. The colors oare more reds to deep dark purples. I now understand why so many of you love this stuff! It really does not feel at all like wool, it is just so soft and the colors-I just love this stuff!!
