So, I kept reading about how soft and yummy Malabrigo is here and other places on the net. I assumed it would be some super-expensive brand of yarn, but I finally had a look at WEBS and saw that it wasn’t really that expensive at all! $12 for 215 yards, and a discount for orders over $50 or $100? I had to try it. As I said in another topic, when I ordered it, WEBS sent an email telling me my color was on backorder and it would be a while before they got any more. Two days ago on Monday I received another email telling me it had shipped, and twenty minutes ago, the mailman knocked on the door!
You all aren’t lying! It’s so incredibly soft and the colors are very yummy! I just had to unwound a skein to inspect the different colors. Not sure yet what I’m going to make with it; I’d like to finish my Danica scarf first!
I ordered in the Stonechat colorway, a mix of reds, pinks, soft grays and browns. I usually buy green or blue. Here’s a pic for you all. I will be posting a bigger picture on my blog in a few minutes.
That is pretty! I love the colors even though I also usually lean toward the greens. I am trying to expand my horizons. I have never felt Malabrigo, but I have heard it compares to the hand dyed merino that 100purewool sells on ebay. Which I bought in the color way Madagascar and it is so soft and squishy. I just finished a shrug/wrap with it and I am definitely going to order more.
