I could not understand here…

You’ll work in a p1, k1 ribbing for rows 9 through 36.
On rows 37, 39, and 41, you’ll work two stitches together at each end of the rows to decrease, and will have 5 stitches left.
On the next row, which will be a wrong-side row, p2, purl into the front and back of the stitch for an increase, p2–this will leave you with 6 stitches.
