Hello, I’m ready to venture into a hat and the pattern I fell in love with from lionbrand is the make a statement hat. Before I begin I have a ?: Note says that hat and lining are made in one piece, then lining is folded to inside of hat.( http://joann.lionbrand.com/patterns/60113.html )
I have no clue as how to do this. Should the yarn be doubled? I’m confused but would really like to make this hat. Any help would be appreciated.

Hm. How to explain this? What happens is that you knit the main part of the hat from top to bottom, and instead of binding off, you continue knitting what is essentially a mirror image of the hat – this is what becomes the lining, which is knit from bottom to top. When you’re done, the lining gets tucked into the main part of the hat, making a double fabric. Make sense?
in theory it sounds like i understand, the true testament will be when i try making it. I do appreciate the help and will start working on it tomorrow- fresh head and all, thanks again!!!
