to make your own graph how do you measure to put the numbers in the graph programs----- inches , rows ect :??

Here is a generator which allows you to input your gauge and it will print paper to fit it.

Is that what you mean?

I have taken to color coding my graphs. Sounds kinda silly but its much easier for me to read than looking at little symbols. And if I have stitches I am unfamiliar with I color code the symbol key too.
