Making a bobble

I think I understand how to make a bobble, but my directions call for k1,yo,k1,yo,k1 in next st and I can’t make it work. Can someone explain?

Knit into the stitch and leave it on the needle, then wrap your yo, knit again, yo and knit one more time.

I had to practice quite a few times on a practice piece. The trick is you have to knit the stitch very loose to be able to knit in it more than twice. That and don’t try to break speed limits doing it:roflhard:

Just take it slow:knitting:

The YOs allows you to get 5 stitches in that stitch in the next row while only knitting into your stitch 3 times. The tricky thing is to make sure you get your working yarn on the right side–it has to go to the back of your work before you knit into it again. Sharp needles help, and I have done a really complicated one with a crochet hook.
