Make one IN each stitch?

I’m TRYING to knit the Pinwheel Baby Blanket. HOW do you make one IN each stitch to make a increase?

Also why do they start with Row 5? Row 1 is where you knit around after casting on, Row 2 is increase row (that I don’t know how to do), Row 3 is ??? and Row 4???

To do the increase, knit in the front and back of the stitch–that’s an increase “in” the next stitch.

Cast on 5

knit around - row 1

increase round - row 2

knit around - row 3

Maybe 4 is supposed to be another increase round?

Thank you, thank you!!!j

Ingrid saves the day again!!!

I was thinking that if you increase again on row 4 then when you increase on Row 5 you won’t have the 20 stitches they say. I guess I would ignore the Row numbers and do as Ingrid says. Knit a round, increase a round.
