I have made the Lion Brand Weekend Retreat Cardi Pattern #81016AD. Before the jacket starts, it says incr 2 stitches on last row of ribbing. I have done this and now there is a hole…Why?! I have tried picking up the stitch and knitting into the back of the stitch and that doesn’t help either. Can some please shead some light on this. The hole really bothers me.:hair:
Which m1 did you do? Did you look at the incs page for some other methods; KLL/KRL is nearly invisible. There may be what looks like a huge hole with the m1 where you pick up the strand and ktbl, but after you knit a few more rows and after washing or blocking the item, it’s not noticeable… especially from across the room. Knitting with a tight tension seems to make more gaps than with a looser tension too.
Thank you for responding, the project that I am working on now a say to:
M1P = Make 1 stitch by picking up
horizontal loop lying before next stitch
and purl into the back. It has still left a hole. Don’t get it.
Look at the videos for m1r and m1l, and keep your tension loose on the row before.
