Has anyone on the forum knit the pattern Majuga (designed by Joji Locatelli) from the Malabrigo book # 6? I’ve been knitting for years but am having an absolute brain freeze understanding this starting at row 1!
Type out the first few rows of you pattern so we can see what you are actually doing. (Don’t post the pattern or a picture of it because of copyright issues)
Cast on 63 stitches
Setup row 1 (RS)k3, pm, k11, pm, k35, pm, k11, pm, k3.
Setup row 2 (WS) purl
Row 1 (RS) k1, M1L, knit to 1 St before marker, M1R, k1, sm, (work chartB to marker, sm) 3 times, k1, M1L, knit to last st, M1R, k1-73 sets.
Row 1 isn’t making sense to me once I get to the chart, chart B shows (how I’m reading it) k1, 3 no stitch, M1L, knit 2, slip 1, knit 2, M1R, 3 no stitch, knit 1.
The bold lines on the chart indicate a 4 stitch repeat after the first M1L and end after you slip 1 and knit 1.
I just can’t see what I need to do, I’m hoping I’m just too close to it and am waiting for the “ah-ha” moment!
I’m not sure where the 4 stitch repeat is in the chart according to your post?
k1, 3 no stitch, M1L, knit 2, slip 1, knit 2, M1R, 3 no stitch, knit 1.
I see the first M1L but after the slip 1 is a knit 2? or should that be knit 1?
