Magic Loop question?

I was at my LYS last week and the girl tried to show me magic loop, with her and the video here I think I get it, but I have what is probably a stupid question…do you place a marker the same way you do in circular, or don’t you need one for some reason? I am making a hat…

i think you still need to place a marker to know where you started. i always place one anyway. smile!:wink:

I don’t place a marker. I use a long-tail cast on and I know that the spot where I start knitting, my beginning of round, is always where the tail from the cast on is.
