M1 in ribbing

Might have figured it out!

Working in K1P1 ribbing and the pattern instructions are:

Rib to last 2 sts, M1, rib 2. Work 3 rows even.

After the increase row, I turn and start with a K1, P1 BUT that 3rd st is also a purl.

Confused how to proceed.

Just make the 3rd st a purl and on the RS it’ll be a knit. So what if you have a 2x3 rib at the end…
