I’m knitting a jumper for my grand daughter and it has a rib I’ve never ever seen. K1 sl1 wyf k1 then next row sl1 wyf k1 sl1 wyf,
It’s creating a fabulous almost double thickness rib. When you get to the last row you p1 k2 tog all the way to the end to get to a normal number of stitches. It’s very very nice.

It’s fun to knit for a granddaughter isn’t it? Sounds like a very nice rib. What pattern are you following for the sweater?

Would love to see it if you can post a photo, or link to the pattern pic.

Reading this I’m wondering if it’s like fisherman’s rib. I would love to know what it looks like.

Can’t work out how to post a link to Ravelry. It’s called Tiny Tiles Sweater. It’s absolutely lovely you get a double thickness.
GrumpyGramma, it’s thicker than fisherman’s rib.
That is really nice! I must try it. To post a link from Ravelry you can simply copy the url of the page and post it in the reply box. I’ll do that now. A cute sweater for sure.

It’s one of the nicest ribs I’ve ever done. So neat and easy peasy.

If I’m reading correctly, Isn’t it the same way you would knit the heal of a sock to get a thicker fabric for the heel?
