Lotus Blossom Tank (now finished: see p.2)

Here’s a picture of my Lotus Blossom Tank blocking. Finally done! :happydance: I’m planning to wear it to SnB on Thursday. When I do, I’ll take pics and post here. If interested in more details, check out my blog.

Now that I’m finished and have leftover yarn, I started a mini version for my daughter! :XX: Hopefully, I have enough yarn…

That is just beautiful, Jackie!

 GORGEOUS

That is adorable  !

That is beautiful! I also love that green colour, well done

You really do such beautiful work!

I have to buy that magazine—in fact, I think I will today!!

How absolutely stunning!! I love the color! :inlove:

Absolutely gorgeous – amazing work!

Beautiful job - I love that color!

I wasn’t too impressed with it when I saw it in VK, but yours looks awesome! Seriously, yours totally looks so much more wearable and fabulous than the one on the model.

I’d love to see what it looks like on you…I bet it’s so flattering.
Great job!

Wow! That is just gorgeous and I absolutely love that color!! I’m sure it’ll knock everyone’s socks off at the SnB!

That’s gorgeous! Amazing work, and I love the color. :inlove:

This one is on my knitting list to do! You did a great job.

Gracious me, that’s just stunning! Such even stitches! Great job, it’s sure to knock 'em dead at you SnB! Can’t wait to see pics of it being worn!

Very pretty!

I love, LOVE it!

Wow! That looks great. I’m going to have to add it to my long list of things to do.

I didn’t notice if you mentioned the yarn you used–is it the recommended bamboo?

Yes - it’s the SWTC Bamboo in Turqouise Green.:inlove: They have both solids and variegated colorways. I really liked tequilla and parrot, but wasn’t sure at the time if the lace would look good with variegated yarn. I found it doesn’t matter: here’s a beautiful pic of a tequilla LBT.

I love how the bamboo yarn drapes, and I also like that the decreases aren’t very noticeable. I think a silk, silk blend, or cotton/tencel blend would also drape nicely. A few people on the KAL used yarns that aren’t drapey as the pattern intended, and their FO’s (as beautiful as they are) show this :frowning: .

I found my yarn at www.fullthreadahead.com for $9.50/skein ($4 off/skein!). It might still be on sale there (or other sites).

:inlove: :inlove: wow!!! I have that mag somewhere, I have to find it! one of the ladies at my LYS made it from brown sheep cotton fleece in a heathery grayish purple… But I LOVE LOVE the green!!!
