Lost Road trip cardigan

Hello, I am new
to this site ,but I need help

The road trip cadigan
When putting the pieces together, Do I sew the whole thing together
before I work on the ribbing around the collar?
or do I just put together the front and back? sleeves when?

Welcome to KH. I can’t answer your question but I think this is your pattern. It might help someone answer your question.

Since it’s raglan, there’s no shoulder seam, so you can’t sew the fronts to the backs at the neck without including the sleeve. Part of the sleeve is also part of the neckline. You’ll be sewing the sleeves in between the front and back pieces. You can leave the sides and sleeve seam open, or sew them up before doing the neck ribbing, your choice. Personally, I’d sew them up so it’s not so “flappy”. If you’re not sure how this works, you can pin the seams together using either sewing pins or stitch markers. This also gives you a chance to try it on before you finish it! Here’s a schematic from ABC Knitting Basics, showing how a raglan goes together: image

Welcome to the forum!
I agree about the raglan sleeve cardigan. Just wondering if you are making the Lost Road Trip Cardigan.

In that case the front and back are seamed at the shoulders. It’s easiest to do that and then work the ribbing for the collar. The sweater is lighter to work with and more manageable without the sleeves. As the last step, attach the sleeves after the collar is finished.
