Hi everyone, I am hoping that someone will recognise this work and have the original pattern as I have lost my copy and would really like to finish the project! Its a baby cardigan with pocket inserts. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Lost pattern
Welcome to the forum!
I would love to know where to get the pattern too. It’s adorable with the sweet pocket detail.
Do you remember anything about the pattern source, a designer, a company perhaps Sirdar or James C. Brett? If you could remember the pattern source it might be possible to track it down or write the company explaining the lost pattern and showing them your photos. They are often very helpful at replacing patterns.
Is there any way you can count sts and decreases to work out how to finish?
Unfortunately I cannot remember anything about it, it is probably 7 years since I last picked it up, my grand daughter was a baby and now she is 8 years old!
It seems like you’re so close to finishing. You could finish the right front to match the left and then figure out the sleeves. There are charts like this one (scroll about 1/3 of the way down the page) that might help with the sleeve dimensions. You can measure your gauge from the completed sweater back to help with the stitch number to cast on.
It’s too sweet a pattern not to finish. If we can help, just ask.
