I am fairly new to knitting, and I am making a very simple baby blanket, but I can’t find my pattern, and want some advice about how to continue. This blanket is on a circular needle, I started from one corner and increased by 1 every row, so that it is a big triangle now. I know once I hit 190 stitches, I’m supposed to decrease to make the other half, (to have a square instead of a triangle.) And I know basically I knit until I come to a point again, but how should I decrease? I have been increasing by y/o. Thanks in advance for your help!
If you have been increasing by k3, YO, knit the rest of the row, you have to keep the YO in there, but to dec you have to make 2 dec sts. So when you get to 190 sts, start the next row k2, k2tog, YO, k2tog, knit the rest of the row. Then do all rows like that until you get to about 5 sts, where you k2tog twice, k1, then k3tog on the last row or something like that.
that’s exactly what i needed to know! =)
thanks
