Loose Stitches?

Hi, these needles I am using have tapered ends before it reaches the point of tne needles…should i knit on the point end or the flat part of the needle??

I would knit on the bigger part of the needle or your stitches will be way to tight. I have the same problem with bigger needles.

All ndls are tapered (the taper varies slightly be brand). I, personally, knit near the tip but have been knitting for decades. If you’re a new knitter, I’d advise knitting on the straight of the ndl to achieve larger sts. As noted, working near the tip will give you smaller sts, most likely tighter sts that you may find difficult to work. Over time you’ll determine if you’re perhaps a loose or tight knitter and will find your rhythm on the ndl wherever it is most comfortable for you.

I don’t knit on the tips. I don’t want my stitches to conform to the size of the tips I want them to be the size of the actual needle. You can do whatever is easiest for you.
