I’ve started the Danica scarf pattern, and I always have a vertical row of loose stitches in section three, in the first square and second square where you do the SSK. I’ve tried the improved SSK, and all other decreases that I know. I’m also confused about the improved SSK, on the video it says on the page that describes it to knit through the back loops, but on the video it looks like it’s knitted through the front. I can’t figure out a way to knit a SSK through the back. This is ruining my scarf, it’s a Mother’s Day present and it needs to be the best that I can do. I’ve seen other pictures posted of the Danica scarf, and the stitches look loose, but nothing like mine. Seems like one row will have a real big stitch, and the next row will have a real small stitch. Does anyone know what I can do to make it look better? I keep telling myself that Elizabeth Zimmerman says that time will even out all uneven stitches, but this would take a lifetime to look better! I would post a picture, but I think that it looks so bad that I’m ashamed of it!
Thanks!
really not sure what could be causing it for you…
