Hey guys sorry for posting on here alot but I’ve got the knitting bug. My baby is due in 6 days and I’m trying to finish the little clothes off I’ve been making.
Started off with a simple chunky jumper too see how it fitted together(first jumper) now I’ve carried on making the hoody that i started, it was originally too complex I nearly gave up but I’m giving it my best shot now.
I’ve knitted the back and sides in blue and white stripes. I just wondered what you more experienced knitters would do in regards to hiding the ends from where I’ve changed colours? Do you just trim them as they are because that doesn’t seem too stable. Would hate for the jumper to unravel. Or do you weave them in or any other techniques?
Also when making up the side seams would I choose one colour to sew along the edges even though it’s blue and white? Or should I alternate using the correct colour wool for each stripe. Or would it look messy?
Any other tips for sewing up jumpers would be great, want the finish to look neat and tidy. Thanks
