Loop st help

I am about to start on a loop st bathroom rug, because Amy’s wonderful video inspired me ( :notworthy: ) & have a question:

What if I dont want loops as big as my thumb? Has anyone ever used anything besides their thumb to make a loop? A sharpie marker, perhaps? And, if so, how do you hold it along with your yarn & needles & glass of wine (oops! Did I say that? )

  Now BEGGING for help…

   (Y’all weren’t supposed to use that icon for li’l ol’ me!!

Kelly, that’s a great question! I don’t know! Try holding a pen, that sounds like it could work. Maybe one with a rubbery shaft, so the yarn doesn’t slide off too easily when you don’t want it to. Good luck!

And if you ever figure out how to hold a glass of wine and knit… :notworthy:

 Amy

Im going to get one of those beer can hats with the straws & adapt it for stemware.

Ill try the pen thing as soon as my fat cotton yarn is delivered (should be any day now! Im waiting in eager anticipation!!! :cheering: ) and Ill get back to ya!
