Do you know of any good patterns for practicing intarsia? I’ve been dying to learn for ages and I just need to go head and try it already.
When I was looking for charts to follow I found this site here http://www.breienmetplezier.nl/Breipatronen/cont_knittpat.htm and it has all kinds of charts some easy some real hard. What I did when learning intarsia was did some squares just a little bigger than the pattern to try it out on. After I was done my uses the squares as blankets for his favorite teddy. Also this site has a few videos as to hot to and I found it helpful http://vickidesigns.homestead.com/Intarsia.html
The Stitch N Bitch book also has some really easy, good intarsia patterns. A few wristbands too, which are super easy and really good for learning intarsia, I think, since there isn’t a lot of color changes and the wristband is so small…lol…I’ve been making cell cases which has gotten me REALLY used to intarsia, they’re not too big and come in quite handy!
none of them really looked easy to me?
Check with spinayarn.com I bought a hat kit from them with a pattern that explains interisia sp.? Maybe they still have the pattern available Worth a try

What you need is to just learn the technique then you can do any pattern. Amy has a video here and you can also check some websites.
Here’s one that makes it easy to see how to wrap the yarn.

I recommend either of the ‘Stitch and Bitch’ books, they’re great! There’s also a few in a book I’ve just bought called ‘Domiknitrix’ (who also have a website of the same name, with free patterns!)
