Looking for Something to Felt

I’ve never felted anything and I thought I’d give it a shot. I have a skein of Paton’s merino wool and am looking for a pattern – something kind of quick and easy. I would rather not make a big investment until I know whether I like felting or not. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Ohhhhh felting is so much fun! At first I thought “why go to all this trouble knitting only to have the work disappear when felting”, but after I did it I was hooked. :teehee:

I am doing a felted tote bag and a pair of clogs. I am still in the knitting stage of both right now. I hope the clogs fit after the felting!

I think the best way to start is a cozy cell phone or sunglasses… once you start, you will want to felt many many things. The very famous booga bag is a good start too. :slight_smile:
